To be eligible for Session IV your child must get approval from the Director, Jared. Please work with your child to draft an email letter describing why they would like to participate and what they hope to get out of the trip.

The campers will apply various skills such as basic 1st aid in mock settings, move through an orienteering course, back country food preparation, camp responsibilities and to leave no trace.

Not only will the campers be gaining useful back country skills they will also be benefiting from the team building opportunities that ODE brings. This ODE program helps to build confidence, pride and positive self-esteem. It is our hope that participants in this program will come out of it excited about who they are and what they have accomplished.

For students that need a great pack for the trip we will provide them with Osprey's kid version backpacking pack. We will also provide tents and food.

Anyone with tricky dietary needs will need to provide for themselves.

All participants must bring their own sack lunch, snacks & water bottle.
We will meet on the Lower Moore Field each morning. If raining we will meet in the Elementary school gym.

Academy Schedule

June 5-9, 12-16 & 26-30
Sports Skills, Archery, Rockets and Games

Sports Skills Sessions will focus on four core team sports being Soccer, Lacrosse, Softball/Baseball, Basketball and some Flag Rugby. With these we emphasize the value of sportsmanship and teamwork for both individual and team success, as well as in-depth knowledge of each game. Along with working on the basic skills in each sport the program also offers advanced skill development for the experienced sport-specific athlete. All equipment is provided although you are welcome to bring your own Baseball Glove or Lacrosse gear if you would like.
Each full day camper will get to participate in all of our offered sports throughout the day. In addition to the sports we will also build model rockets for grades 1-6 all day full week participants.

1st grade 1/2 day will participate mainly in Soccer, Lacrosse and a bit of Baseball.

1st grade Full Day option. First graders will go to the ARC Pool on a couple of the days, build their own rocket and work on basketball and baseball skills in the afternoons.
